Anonymous is a 2011 movie directed by Roland Emmerich and written by John Orloff, the film stars Rhys Ifans, Vanessa Redgrave and Rafe Spall. The movie is based on the dispute about the attribution of Shakespeare's works, according to which the works of the playwright would have actually been written by an Elizabethan aristocrat, Edward de Vere, seventeenth Oxford's Earl. The movie talks about Edward de Vere's childhood to old age, seen through the eyes of the poet Ben Johnson and through various flashbacks.
